Film Class
I'd like to start a class on filmmaking with Shawn Schlener or learn from him as a student. We were classmates and both have the same passion for movies. To watch the evolution of a story from script to screen is incredible. Discussing the history, techniques, and little things that go unnoticed would be very interesting. Not only would the discussion be fun, but going out and creating our own stories, making our own films to view would enhance the experience. Through this we could teach people different camera angles, uploading process, editing, special effects, and everything in between. Even the process of writing a script, auditions from actors, and possible entry into some of our favorite film festivals. The work could be uploaded to YouTube as well to reach out to those around the world. We were both taught by Erik Jacobson, a wonderful professor of cinema. He is very passionate about the art and inspires us. We look up to him and he would be a wonderful speaker to better explain the art of sound and motion. The only limitation would be our imagination.
